Monica Elizabeth Guffey

Monica Elizabeth Guffey, 26, of Belle, Mo., died on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1991, to Keith Allen and Paula Rae (Maples) Guffey at Rolla. She was united in marriage to Salahaldeen Azzam November 8, 2016, at Belle. Monica was a computer programmer and a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Salahaldeen Azzam of the home; parents, Cory and Paula Alspach of Owensville and Keith and Aimee Guffey of Belle; grandparents, Ronald Guffey of Belle, Beverly Maples of Gerald and Lyn Stotlar of Kansas City; great-grandmother, Madonna Guffey of Rolla; children, Mia Guffey and Hailey Rector both of Belle; sisters, Veronica Guffey and Donica Guffey both of Belle and Emily Akagi of Kansas City; brothers, Paul Guffey of Belle, Nick Alspach of Kansas City and Justin Alspach of Jefferson City; also survived by one nephew, other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens. Memorials requested to Hope Lodge and in lieu of flowers make donations to YAYAs for Monica Guffey trust for her daughters. Arrangements are entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
