Loretta Bernadine Lairmore, 93, of Owensville, Mo., passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Washington. She was born on Oct. 13, 1924, to Anton and Catherine (Mengwasser) Raab at Rich Fountain. She was united in marriage to James H. (Dud) Lairmore on May 5, 1951, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. Loretta was a homemaker and business owner of Dud's Tire Shop along with her husband. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Our Lady's Sodality in Owensville; and was a Director on the Lane Cemetery Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Lairmore; son-in-law, Gary L. Spurgeon; sisters, Mildred Taube and Irene Hoffman; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Taube, Steve Hoffman and Charles Hurst Jr. She is survived by her children, James A. Lairmore and wife Diane, Janice Spurgeon, JoAnn Barch and husband Roger, Jerry Lairmore and wife Christine, Joyce Jose and husband Clinton, all of Owensville and Judy Bridges and husband Raymond of Springfield; brothers, Alfred Raab and James Raab both of Rich Fountain; sisters, Mary Ann Hurst and Leona Martin and husband Norman, both of Jefferson City and Pauline Stegemen and husband Ed of Wardsville; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 6, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. Rosary was at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville with Fr. Wayne Boyer as the Celebrant. Burial was in Lane Cemetery at Linn. Memorial contributions are suggested to Lane Cemetery, Linn.
