Elinor Nowlin-Jackson, 73, Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, Capital Region Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1944, the daughter of the late John and Lou Nowlin. Elinor was a school bus driver for 18 years and had two show horses. She enjoyed quilting and canning and often entered her creations at county fairs. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Mark (Tracy) Nowlin of Columbia, Tony (Tracey) Nowlin of Columbia, Rebecca Nowlin-Poe (Jim) of Holts Summit and Michael Griggs of Jefferson City; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeffery Nowlin Sr.; and four siblings, Harold, Ronnie, Charles and Linda. She was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Cosmos Park in Columbia.
