Mary Renee Cooley Koelling, 43, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 30, 1974, in Jefferson City, the daughter of John Howard and Ernestine Mary (McCrossin) Cooley. Mary was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Columbia College. She worked for the State of Missouri Employment Security. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved dogs and the outdoors, especially camping and swimming. Mary was most known for her compassionate heart, always reaching out to those in need, no matter the circumstances, without judgment or expectation of anything in return. Survivors include significant other, Jason Hees, Jefferson City; daughter, Rosemary Koelling, Jefferson City; her mother, Ernestine Cooley, Jefferson City; three brothers, John Mark Cooley, Columbia; Chris (Sonya) Cooley, Jefferson City; William (Jennifer) Cooley, Bonnots Mill; three sisters, Cindy (Jim) Franke, Columbia; Patty (Tom) Doherty, Blue Springs; Deanna (Homer) Maddox, Holts Summit; 16 nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her father, John Cooley. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at noon, also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald J. Antweiler officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E. McCarty St., Jefferson City, Missouri 65101.
