Donald Eugene Markway, 87, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at, at Heisinger Bluffs. He was born October 31, 1930, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Frank Carl and Frances Rose (Kolb) Markway. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1948. Donald served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage on October 2, 1954, in Jefferson City, Missouri to Therese Mary Forck who preceded him in death on January 3, 2015. Retiring in 1992, he worked 31 years for Missouri Builders Service as their office manager. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree, and the American Legion. Survivors include four children, Gregory (Janet) Markway, Blue Springs; Deborah (Dennis) Nichols, Jefferson City; Michelle (Robert) Malone, Jefferson City; and Michael (Sharron) Markway, Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and their wives, Everett (Lil) Markway, Pete (Jean) Markway, and Ulysses (Dee) Markway; and three sisters and their husbands, Marjorie Frank, Albertine (Ed) Coffelt, and Carmelita (Ernest) Green. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald J. Antweiler officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
