Dale Brooks Duncan, 76, of Dixon, Missouri, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. Born July 20, 1941, he was the oldest of three children of Brooks and Ophelia Duncan, who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on June 30, 1962, in Bolivar, to Sharon Kay Jarman who survives at the home. After marriage, Dale and Sharon began their life together in Lebanon, Missouri, as Dale established his career in radio broadcasting. They later moved to Jefferson City where he hosted the KLIK radio program Party Line, and he enjoyed a long career in broadcasting, sales and marketing, sales management, and station management. He retired as an account executive for the Columbia News Tribune in 2014 and moved to his boyhood home in Dixon. Among his many interests, Dale was a pilot, a ham radio operator, and an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing, and rock collecting. He loved spending time with his family, and he enjoyed a firm faith in God. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Sandy Duncan; brother, Terry Duncan; and sister, Cindy Sellers. Dale is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Dr. Angela Reid and husband Rev. Raymond Reid; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Duncan; grandchildren, Tasha Winkler and husband Chris, Kayla Duncan, Nathaniel Duncan, Joel Duncan, Lake Reid, Rossiana Reid, and Carris Reid; great-grandchildren Clayton Winkler, Cadence Winkler, Haley Winkler, and Octavius Duncan; and several loving brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Dale's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Marshfield Assembly of God, 1538 W. Washington Avenue, Marshfield, MO, 65706, with Rev. Raymond Reid officiating.
