Dorothy "Nadine" Johansen

Dorothy "Nadine" Johansen, age 94, of Tipton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the Tipton Oak Manor. Nadine was born January 17, 1924, in Clinton, Missouri to Ferd and Edna Bramell. On October 20, 1948, Nadine married Roy Johansen and they had 37 years together until his death July 4, 1986. Nadine was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Syracuse and later transferred her membership to First Baptist Church of Tipton. She served as a Sunday School teacher and was very active in many church activities. She loved dining out with her friends and traveling, especially enjoying trips to Branson. Preceding Nadine in death were her parents; her husband Roy; sisters Margaret, Maybelle and Elizabeth; niece Kay Downing; nephews James Norton and Robert Garrett Jr. Surviving Nadine are her sons David Johansen and his wife Eileen of Tipton and Dale Johansen and his wife Karla of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Nadine Johansen will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Tipton. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. prior to service at the church. Burial will follow the services in Syracuse Cemetery in Syracuse, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Dustin Johansen, Kevin Johnsen, Brandon Brown, Rick Otis, Doug Allee and Tommy Armstrong. Honarary pallbearers are Stanley Brauer, Steve Brauer, Wilson Allee and Paul Garrett. Memorials are suggested to the Syracuse Cemetery or Hospice Compass or the American Heart Association.
