Clarence A. Reinsch

Clarence A. Reinsch, 93 of Jefferson City, formerly of Argyle, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at The Arbors at Westbrook Terrace. He was born on December 21, 1924, in Koeltztown, a son of the late Leo J. and Elizabeth (Boeckman) Reinsch. On April 9, 1947, he was united in marriage to Helen C. Schwartze in Westphalia, she preceded him in death on January 22, 2014. Clarence attended school in Koeltztown and Freeburg. He worked with MFA for over 20 years and later managed the Maries County Bank in Argyle, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Argyle, and most recently Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2047 and was a Fourth Degree Knight. Clarence enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, Mizzou Basketball and he and his wife enjoyed spending time at Lost Valley Lake. He managed the Argyle girl's softball team for many years and enjoyed playing the fiddle, especially during his retirement. He is survived by his three sons: Gary (Jeanne) Reinsch of Edmond, Okla., David Reinsch of Peoria, Ariz., Paul (Gloria) Reinsch of Jefferson City; four daughters: Diane (Bill) Buschman of Taos, Carol Trim of Jefferson City, Sandra Schwartz of Jefferson City, Melissa (Paul) Twombly of St. Louis; two sisters: Leona Buersmeyer of Jefferson City, Cency (Al) Luetkemeyer of St. Elizabeth; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, Clarence was preceded in death by one grandson: Charles A. Plank in 1973; sons-in-law: Bill Schwartz, Floyd Trim; brother: John (Aggie) Reinsch; sister: Agatha (Clarence) Bisges; and brother-in-law: Clarence Buersmeyer. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City with Fr. Don Antweiler officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Argyle.
