Carrol Gene Stacy, 80, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Ashland. He was born on April 6, 1937, in Kennett, Missouri, a son of Elmer Stacy and Gladys Goble Stacy. He was married to Lenora Lerma on October 2, 1981. Gene graduated from Campbell High School. He retired from the United States Navy then worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the City of Jefferson at the Jefferson City Airport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing with his friends. He was a member of the Capital Crappie Club of Jefferson City, American Legion Post 5. He is survived by his wife Lenora Stacy of Jefferson City; one daughter: Gena Riggs of Charlottetown Prince Edward Island, Canada; one son, Brett Stacy of Brantford Ontario, Canada; three sisters: Donna Turley of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; Elmerita Robinson of Campbell, Mo., Polly Walters of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandsons; one granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Carrol was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Elmer Stacy Jr. Memorial service with full military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the Bush Apostolic Church, 672 East State Highway T, Hayward, Missouri 63873. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date for friends in mid-Missouri.
