Dennis C. Stegeman, 62, of Loose Creek, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. Dennis was born on June 2, 1955, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Francis Joseph and Mary Catherine (Rustemeyer) Stegeman. He attended Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek and was a 1973 graduate of Fatima High School. Dennis was employed at Jim Kever Construction, Westinghouse/ABB, Quaker Windows and Tree Works Tree Service. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek and Bonnots Mill Knights of Columbus. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, sports, barbecuing, camping, welding and making things for people. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Dennis is survived by: four daughters, Sheila Kleffner and her husband Doug of Loose Creek, Shelly Stegeman of Loose Creek, Cassie Stegeman of Jefferson City and Katie Neuner and her husband Alex of Loose Creek; the mother of his children, Cindy Stegeman of Loose Creek; four grandchildren, Daniel, Olivia and Cecilia Kleffner and Oz Neuner; three sisters, Jean Marie Stegeman of Loose Creek, Paula Ann Plassmeyer and her husband Daniel of Loose Creek and Mary Kay Holterman and her husband Art of Westphalia; two brothers, David Stegeman and his wife Deborah of Freeburg and John Stegeman and his wife Mary Lee of Loose Creek; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Henry and Pauline Rustemeyer and August and Olivia Stegeman; along with several aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morton Chapel in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with the Rev. Callistus C. Okoroji as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Church or School.
