Mark A. Volkart

Mark A. Volkart, 56, of California, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born on January 20, 1961, in Tuscumbia, Missouri to James and Opel (Lehr) Volkart, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from California High School. He worked in the healthcare field. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Friends and family of Mark knew he was especially fond of his dog, Panda. Mark is survived by: three brothers, Mike (Amy) Volkart, Jerry Volkart and Kenneth Volkart; one sister, Tina Volkart, all of California; six nieces; two nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Richard R. Volkart and one nephew, Anthony Volkart. The family will receive friends at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service on Monday, January 8, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Defoe Cemetery.
