Kenneth Lynn McLauchlin

Kenneth Lynn McLauchlin, 75, of Holts Summit, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Westbrook Terrace in Jefferson City, Missouri. Lynn was born on March 4, 1942 in Florence, South Carolina, to Charles and Susie Smith McLauchlin, who preceded him in death. He was married on December 15, 1984 in New Bloomfield, Missouri, to Betty Hampton Maddox and she survives. He was a graduate of Wampee High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Lynn then served in the United States Navy on a nuclear submarine while based out of Charleston, South Carolina. He worked as a Nuclear Engineer and was able to travel around the United States and the world while working at different Nuclear Power Plants. Lynn attended New Bloomfield Christian Church and he enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting, but his greatest love was spending time with his family and his special "wife", Allee the dog. In addition to his wife of 34 years, he is also survived by children, Tory Cain of Holts Summit, Teresa Tatum of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Kelly Maddox of Jefferson City and Greg (Nicki) Maddox of Hermosa, South Dakota; brothers, Archie McLauchlin of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Stuart (Jan) McLauchlin of Hope Mills, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Karen McLauchlin; grandchildren, Tristian, Saraha and Ada; along with great-grandchild, Ryland. He was also preceeded in death by a grandchild, Mark; brother, Charles McLauchlin; and sisters, Mary Margaret Vereen and Betty Nye. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Debo Funeral Home in Holt Summit.
