Orvel Lee Morgan

Orvel Lee Morgan, 79, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, February, 6, 2018, in a local care center. He was born on January 14, 1940, a son of the late Clem and Augusta (Gerling) Morgan. Orvel attended school at St. Thomas, Missouri. After a debilitating accident in 1960, Orvel spent the next 27 years working at Capitol Projects/Sheltered Workshop in Jefferson City, Missouri. Orvel enjoyed visiting and spending time with his family and friends and he enjoyed listening to Cardinal baseball on the radio. He is survived by one sister, Marilyn Kennedy of Holts Summit; four brothers: Larry Morgan of Barnett, Missouri, Gerald (Velda) Morgan of Meta, Missouri, Ronnie Morgan of Crest Hill, Illinois, and Raymond (Diane) of Folk, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Carrol James Morgan. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2018, in the chapel of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with interment following in Our Lady of the Snows, Mary's Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Capitol Projects/Sheltered Workshop of Jefferson City, or the charity of the donor's choice.
