Kathryn Sue Rook

Kathryn Sue Rook, 62, of New Bloomfield, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 5, 1956 in Mary's Home, Missouri, a daughter of Herbert Berhorst and Annabelle (Holtmeyer) Schmutzler. She was united in marriage to Robert Rook on June 4, 1972 in Iberia, Missouri. Kathryn most recently worked for Missouri Girls Town but was currently enjoying spending time with her family. She could always be found with her nose in a book and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Robert Rook of Springfield, Missouri and Lisa Cook (Jeff) of Jefferson City, Missouri; grandchildren: Chelsea Rook of Springfield, Missouri; Brandon Rook of Fulton, Missouri; Quentin and Cassandra Cook of Jefferson City, Missouri; siblings: Mary Ann Walther (Adolph) of Jefferson City, Missouri; Betty Livingston (Alan) of Springfield, Missouri; Dorothy Goodin of Jefferson City, Missouri; Robert Berhorst (Jeanine) of Jefferson City, Missouri; James Berhorst (Diane) of New Bloomfield; Gloria Berhorst of Jefferson City, Missouri; David Berhorst of Jefferson City, Missouri and Barbara Wallenmeyer of Jefferson City, Missouri. Kathryn was preceded in death by her father and husband. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at McClung Park Pavilion, 931 McClung Park Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
