Dorothy Belt

Dorothy Belt, 94, of Henley, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 18, 1924, in Mystic, Iowa, the daughter of the late Leo Blaine and Dora (Canfield) Blaine Hysell. On April 24, 1943 in Princeton, Mo., she was united in marriage to Lloyd August Belt, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1987. Survivors include: sons, Lloyd Belt Jr. (Sally) of Henley, Larry Belt of Henley, and Richard Belt (Sue) of Jefferson City; daughter, Wilma Engelbrecht (Lloyd) of Henley; brother, Harold Hysell (Earnestine) of Corydon, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Eldora Blaine of Iowa and Nelma Hysell of Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A daughter-in-law, Janice Belt; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Hysell; and three brothers, Hillus Blaine, Bob Hysell and Elmer Hysell preceded her in death. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, with burial immediately following at Hickory Hill Cemetery in Hickory Hill. Memorials in her name are suggested to the Show Me Christian Youth Home in LaMonte. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
