Georgia Ann Pfenenger

Mrs. Georgia Ann Pfenenger, age 75, of Jefferson City passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born August 7, 1942 in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late George and Mary Kroeger Scheppers. She was a 1960 graduate of Helias Catholic High School, most notably as the first four year graduating class at Helias. She was united in marriage on November 19, 1960 at St. Peter Catholic Church to John William Pfenenger, who survives at their home. Georgia was a devoted wife and mother. As a homemaker she was selfless in raising and caring for her family, putting all their needs ahead of her own. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Peter Catholic Church her entire life. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, music, and reading, and cherished time spent with her family. In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by five children: John II Pfenenger of Columbia, Mo., Corina (Ken) Newman of St. Louis, Mo., George (Joni) Pfenenger of Columbia, Mo., Dan (Becky) Pfenenger of Jefferson City, Mo., Mary Pfenenger of Jefferson City, Mo.; grandchildren: Alexa Thompson, Jessica (Chris) Bruemmer, Ian, Ethan, and Sophie Newman, Alex, Gabe, Nate and Jacob Pfenenger, Jordan, Logan, Hayden and Emma Pfenenger; great-grandchildren: Landon and Lucas; siblings: Gary Scheppers of Eldon, Mo., Lucy Nelson of Columbia, Mo., Joanie (Bill) Farris of Jefferson City, Mo; nine nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Monday September 25, 2017 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday September 25, 2017 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Coleman celebrating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
