Delbert F. Benton

Delbert "Doc" F. Benton, 93, formerly of Calumet Park, Ill., passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Chateau Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Willowbrook, Ill. He was the beloved husband of the late Genevieve née Blume, loving father of Becky (late Terrence) Clemmons, Joyce (Michael) Gerdzos, Mary Kay (David) Winchell, Thomas (Victoria), Paul (Tara Sue) and Kelly (Alan) Craig; cherished grandfather of 18; proud great-grandfather of 16; dear brother of the late Margaret Jobe, late Harold (late Isla), late Howard, late Thomas (Betty), Bill (late Ellen), Jim (Bernice) and the late Mary Ann Andrews. Chapel prayers will be Saturday, September 23 at 9:00 a.m. at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to Our Lady of The Ridge Church, 10820 Oxford Ave., Chicago Ridge, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will be private.
