Johnny Ray Mason Sr.

Johnny Ray Mason Sr., age 53, of Freeburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at his home. He was born in Moline, Illinois on August 28, 1964, son of John and Donna Marie (Cowan) Mason. Johnny was employed at Unilever in Jefferson City and was previously employed at Quaker Windows in Freeburg. He is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Mason Jr. of Iberia; one daughter, Kayla Mason of Fresno, California; two brothers, Rodney Mason of Illinois and Dusty Mason; father, John F. Mason Sr. and Lois Jarrett of Iberia; his girlfriend, Sandy Statman of Freeburg; one sister, Corinne Papaioanu; step-mom, Sharon Mason; two step-sisters, Melissa Sindler and Penny Chappell; and one step-brother, David Schlieper. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Mason, and one brother, Darrell Mason. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, at Mt. Gilead Church near Iberia with Bro. Elton Dake and Bro. Brian Duncan officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Gilead Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
