Helen Baurichter Trachsel Burre, age 94, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Heisinger Bluffs Nursing home on November 8, 2017, after 94 years of living in South Callaway County. She was born Aug 18, 1923, at home in Cedar City, Missouri. Her parents were Robert and Minnie Baurichter. On March 16, 1941, she married John Trachsel. She is survived by five children, Otto Trachsel of Columbia, Missouri, Clarence Trachsel of Nokomis, Florida, Garry Trachsel of Peoria, Arizona, Ann Meyer of Springfield, Missouri and Mark Trachsel of Georgetown, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth and brother Fred, both of Springfield, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Trachsel and by two brothers and three sisters. She has four surviving sisters-in-law and three that have predeceased her. She was married to Glen Burre on March 3, 1981, who proceded her in death and is survived by stepson, Kelly Burre and sister-in-law, Lois Bess. She is one of the last of the generation that saw the transition from farming with horses, to todays' automation. Funeral arrangements include a service at the Heisinger Bluffs Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, followed by a lunch for all who can attend from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the adjacent St. Joesph chapel/general purpose room. She will be interred in the Wainwright Cemetery in a private ceremony. No flowers please, any donations should be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or Link Cemetery Maintenance fund mailed to Don Link at 13001 Co. Rd. 4029, Holts Summit, Missouri 65043. The family would like to extend thanks and appreciation to Heisinger Bluffs for the many years of caring and compassion given to Helen. Her family, friends, and neighbors were the center of her life.
