William "Bill" Lewis Wieners Jr., age 58, of Centertown, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1959, in Cabool, Missouri, to William and Mary (Wilson) Wieners Sr. Bill was united in marriage on November 16, 1979, at St. Francis Xavier Church to the love of his life and best friend, Susan "Sue" Berhorst. A lifelong resident of central Missouri, Bill graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1977. He worked for Chesebrough-Pond's Manufacturing Company/Unilever for 18 years. He then continued his career with Amcor Distribution Center where he was most recently employed. Just recently he started driving school buses part-time for Durham School Services in Wardsville, which he loved to do, because he loved kids. Bill was a very active and dedicated member to the Solid Rock Family Church. He was active in the Kings Men Fellowship, was a counselor at the summer church camps, a Sunday School Teacher and helped with Special Olympics. Bill was very much a family man and loved each and every one of the 59 children that he and Sue were able to foster through the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families and Division of Family Services. Bill loved to fish, golf, and to just be outside. He was the man that you could turn to if you ever needed a hand or just someone to give you some words of wisdom about his faith in the Lord. In addition to his loving and devoted wife, Sue, he is also survived by seven children: Annessa Green of New Bloomfield, Christina Butler-Wieners of Clarksburg, Adam Wieners and Andrew Wieners of the home, Carrie (Kelvin) Jones of Jefferson City, Russell (Kayla) Wheat Jr., Mokane, and Lexi (Lonnie) Irvin of California; 11 grandchildren: Mason Feely, Rilie Gerloff, Levon Allen, Zaine Wilson, Austin Wheat, Alaeya Giboney, Zai and Zarion Jones, Brookelynn, Zachary and Emmielynn Irvin; four sisters: Elaine (Sam) Pherigo of Jefferson City, Patty (Charlie) Tuttle of Clarksburg; Beverly (Harold) Verdot of Eldon, and Kay (Mark) Finnell of Jefferson City; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Solid Rock Family Church. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Solid Rock Family Church, 508 Hunters Run Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109 with Rev. Joe Skiles officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bill and Sue Wieners Children Educational Fund or Special Olympics.
