Lou Stephenson

Lou Stephenson, 89, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, at Lenoir Woods in Columbia. Lou was born June 17, 1927 in Hannibal, to Alva and Virginia Leeper. She is survived by a brother, John (Mary) Leeper of Colleyville, Texas. She was an incredible mother to Mark (Teresa) Stephenson of Columbia, Bradley of DeLand, Fla. and Janis (John Rourke) of Tucson, Ariz. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by husband, William H. Stephenson; and brothers, Robert and Jerome Leeper. Friends are invited to a visitation and memorial service at Wesley United Methodist Church, Jefferson City, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017. In lieu of flowers, a donation would be appreciated to Wesley United Methodist Church, Jefferson City, or Compassus Hospice of Columbia.
