Charlotte Marie Amick
Charlotte Marie Amick, 91, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility in Jefferson City. She was born March 12, 1926, in Cole County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Albert J. and Helen A. (Dulle) Roling. She was a 1943 graduate of St. Peter High School in Jefferson City. On September 4, 1948, Charlotte was united in marriage in Wardsville, Missouri, to Bill M. Amick, who preceded her in death on May 27, 2007. Charlotte worked as an Executive Assistant for many years. Charlotte worked for Governor James Blair, Secretary of State James Kirkpatrick, and Senator Earl Blackwell. She also worked in the U.S. Savings Bonds Office. Charlotte was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and was one of the first members of the Immaculata Club at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, being active in her children's school and social activities, and most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlotte is survived by a son: Dale A. Amick (wife Joyce) of Jefferson City, Mo.; a daughter: Charlotte L. Dewrock of Jefferson City, Mo.; a sister: Anna L. Taylor of Jefferson City, Mo.; five grandchildren: Christopher J. Amick (wife Kathleen) of Edwardsville, Ill.; John W. Amick (wife Melissa) of Columbia, Mo.; Matthew J. Amick (wife Kate) of Jefferson City, Mo.; Brian J. Amick of Kansas City, Mo.; and Britni M. Hendren (husband Archie) of Columbia, Mo.; five great-grandchildren: Emily M. Amick and Jackson C. Amick of Edwardsville, Ill.; Allison E. Amick of Jefferson City, Mo.; Maier L. Amick of Jefferson City, Mo.; and Finley L. Hendren of Columbia, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Fr. Donald J. Antweiler officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
