Tre A. Wright, 24, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, January 23, 2017, at his home. Tre was born in Hermann, Missouri on November 4, 1992, a son of Donnie Wright and Lola (Keilholz) Kane. Tre was a graduate of Chamois High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Airborne Division. He worked as a correctional officer for Algoa Correctional Center in Jefferson City. Tre loved to hunt, fish, drink beer and have fun. There was never a dull moment when he was around, always with an infectious smile and the look on his face that he was up to something. Endlessly loved by all who knew him, there wasn't a person he met that he didn't call a friend. He had a strong affection for basketball, his family and his friends. He also had a soft spot for dogs and was always taking a picture with any stray that came his way. Always showing his wild side, Tre enjoyed jumping from planes and back flipping off cliffs and bridges into water, or just from where he stood. He was extremely determined and highly goal oriented; although he set his goals high, he always aimed higher. He took pride in challenging himself to be a better person and an even better friend. He was truly one of a kind. Tre is survived by his father, Donnie Wright of Hermann; his mother, Lola Kane and husband Scott of Mississippi; four sisters, Jessie Wright of Jefferson City, Blaire Wright of Beaufort, Ashley Wright of Beaufort, and Taylor Kane of Mississippi; three brothers, Brandon Keilholz and wife Trish of Jefferson City, Collyn Kane of Louisiana, and Chance Kane of Mississippi; his grandparents, Jerry and Kathy Wright of Hermann, and Ray and Carol Keilholz of Jefferson City; his uncles, Tim Wright of Fulton, Jon Wright of Jefferson City, Todd Keilholz of Jefferson City, and Paul Keilholz of Linn; aunts, Connie Camp of Richmond, Kentucky, Loretta Miller of Jefferson City, and Joyce Schofield of Jefferson City; two nephews, Aycen and Nolan Barreda; nieces, Melani, Kendra, and Callee Keilholz; his girlfriend, Katelyn Ruettgers of Jefferson City; and many cousins and good friends. Visitation will be held Friday, January 27 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with full military honors. Memorials may be given to families choice, c/o Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home.
