Paul Antone Weber, 84, of Westphalia, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Missouri Veterans Home, St. James, surrounded by his wife and loving family. He was born May 20, 1932, in Jefferson City, the son of the late John and Theola (Johanesmeyer) Weber. On April 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Prenger. They were blessed with five children, four sons and one daughter. Paul attended school in Westphalia and then joined the United States Army, where he served in Germany as a German Interpreter from November 17, 1952 to October 29, 1954. He earned a National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Paul was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Westphalia. He was a member of the Westphalia Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Westphalia Lions Club, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree., and the VFW of Argyle. Paul was owner and operator of Weber's Meat Service for 54 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, going hunting, fishing and trapping. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Along with his wife of 64 years, Evelyn, he is survived by his five children: Robert Weber (Marilyn) of Westphalia, Richard Weber (Jennie) of Rolla, Roger Weber of Westphalia, Ralph Weber (Kitty) of Tennessee, and Rosemary Rowden (Doug) of Brinktown; two brothers: Elmer Weber (Viola) of Westphalia and Jerry Weber (Donna) of Westphalia; one sister: Linda Falter (Danny) of Freeburg; 14 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister: Betty Thomas. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Hilke-Millard Funeral Home in Westphalia, with a Prayer Service at 3:15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Mark Smith officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy St. Joseph Catholic School, Westphalia.
