Virginia A. Kramer

Virginia A. Kramer, 85, of Westphalia, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Westphalia Hills Retirement Center. She was born August 12, 1931, in Maple Hill, Kansas, the daughter of the late Phillip and Nannie (Davis) Deiter. Virginia attended Linn High School. She was employed with Sears 1978 through 1988, worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue and was a Homemaker. Virginia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain, was a National Trustee and Deputy Vice President for Western Catholic Union, and past President of the Linn Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Virginia enjoyed going to the boat, sewing and putting quilts together, bingo, traveling, crossword puzzles, and loved spending time with her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Joyce Krattli (Don) of Jefferson City, Larry Kramer of Fulton, Dennis "Kramit" Kramer (Kim Lambert) of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Ron Kramer of Land 'O Lakes, Fla., Junior Kramer (Marie) of Belle, Sandy Schnieders (Mark) of Jefferson City, Debbie Boehm (Jim "Porky") of Rich Fountain, Dale "Dolly" Kramer of Westphalia, Gary Kramer (Cindy) of Warsaw; siblings: Agnes Taylor of Kansas City, Kan., Richard Deiter of Topeka, Kan., Margie MacMillan of Blue Springs; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Along with her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a son: Larry's twin brother, Jerry Kramer on July 26, 1978; grand-daughter: Megan Boehm on August 25, 2003; siblings: Mary Akers (Ted), Jim Deiter, Alice Frigon (Ed), George Deiter (Maymie), Larry Deiter (Bea), Helen Kirkman (Bob); brothers-in-law: Charley Taylor, and Ronald MacMillian; and one sister-in-law: Sybil Deiter. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rich Fountain with a prayer service at 3:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rich Fountain, with Fr. William Debo officiating. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery in Linn. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Emmy Kramer Benefit Fund or Megan Boehm Scholarship Fund.
