Ken Martin

Ken Martin, 67, of Tuscumbia, Missouri, passed away suddenly Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at his residence in Tuscumbia, Missouri. He was born October 4, 1949, in Miller County, Missouri, the son of the late Ralph and Ruby (Abbett) Martin. On November 1, 1978, in Ulman, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Debbie (Luttrell) Martin who survives of the home. Other survivors include: daughters, Brooke Martin of Kansas City, Mo., Blair Harris (Tony) of Ulman, Mo., Blythe Schaumburg (David) of Springfield, Mo., grandchildren, Miles, Brianna and Baylee Harris, and Brynnen Schaumburg; brother, Melford Martin (Mary) of Owensville, Mo. and three nieces. A sister, Juanita Hunter preceded him in death. He was a history teacher with Cole R-V school district, retiring in 2002, but continued to teach part-time with Miller County R-III school district until 2014. Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Tuscumbia High School Gym in Tuscumbia, Mo., with a Memorial Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Blackburn officiating. Memorials in his name are suggested to the Tuscumbia High School. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
