Floyd Trim, 80, of Jefferson City ,passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at in Columbia, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 13, 1937, in Lamar County, Texas, the son of James Ervin and Alice Myrtle (Gann) Trim, who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on December 3, 1982, in Jefferson City to Carol Ann Reinsch, who survives of the home. He was a graduate of South Oak Cuff High School, Dallas, Texas. He attended college at North Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Industrial Relations from Lincoln University. Floyd proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He owned and operated Trim's Bail Bonding and Pawn Stores with his family. Floyd enjoyed running the quarter and half mile in track during his high school and college years, receiving multiple honors. He was always staying active and enjoyed playing racquetball. He traveled with his wife and family to many of our nations national parks in their family R.V. Above all, Floyd loved his family and the memories they made and the time they spent together. He is also survived by three sons: David (Tamara) Trim of Columbia; Dan (Mickie) Trim of Columbia and Matthew (Tracy King) Plank of Jefferson City; one daughter: Terry Trim of Centralia; one twin brother: Lloyd (Sally) Trim of Bay City, Texas; seven grandchildren: Andrea, Jesse, Sophia, Logan, Bella, Chase and Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sons: Michael Trim and Steve Trim and three brothers: Harold Trim, Gary Trim and Joe Trim. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Pieta Mausoleum.
