Beverly J. McNay, 87, formerly of Barnett, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at The Oak Tree Villa in Jefferson City, Mo. Beverly was born on November 13, 1929, in Hartford County, Kan., the daughter of Paul Gilbert Rich and Edna Jean Esther Thomas, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on February 27, 1959, in Kansas City, Kan. to Jimmie Joe Arnold McNay who preceded her in death on May 20, 2011. She attended Manuel High School in Kansas City, Mo. where she graduated in 1947. Beverly was fortunate enough to take art lessons under a partner of Walt Disney's at the art museum in Kansas City, Mo., she also worked as a model at Hammer Brothers MFG. Co. where she modeled suits and coats for promotional pictures. She worked as a Clerk Typist for the Missouri Department of Agriculture in which she retired from. She was a member of the Golden Beach Community Church. She was in the Order of Eastern Star Lodge #410 in Versailles, Mo. and received her 25 year pin at Lodge #521 in California, Mo., she was a member of the Indian Creek Women's Club 'Creekers' since 1997, she was also on the Morgan County Central Committee since 1998 and was a member of the Morgan County and Mid Missouri Democrat Club. She enjoyed her time on the computer, playing cards, reading jokes, listening to country music and being around her family. Survivors include: two sons, Michael McNay and his wife Kathy of Stuttgart, Ark., John C. McNay and his wife Karen of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Anita Janes of California, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kevin McNay, Amanda Karr and her husband Jason, Nick Janes, Danielle Davidson and her husband Bryant; five great-grandchildren, Berkley McNay, Faith Karr, Ryan Karr, Henry Davidson, and Samuel Davidson. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a Order of Eastern Star service following at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jeannie Martin Dudenhoeffer. Burial will be at the Jamestown Methodist Cemetery in Jamestown, Mo. Memorials are suggested to Order of Eastern Star c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St. California, MO 65018.
