Mary Ann Shoults

Mrs. Mary Ann Shoults, age 64 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on August 8, 1952, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Everett and Grace (Shackelford) Hollandsworth. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Mary Ann was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson City High School. At the age of 18, she began her lifelong career with Chesebrough-Ponds/Unilever for 46 years until ill health forced her retirement. Mary Ann was the foundation of her family and she instilled in them the importance of family values and unconditional love. She cherished time with friends and family and never knew a stranger. Mary Ann enjoyed her word search puzzles, doing yard work and tending to her flowers, and spoiling her little dog, Rocky. Survivors include: her sons, Brian (Stacia) Shoults of Holts Summit, Mo. and Michael Shoults of Holts Summit, Mo.; a step-son, James Downs of Holts Summit, Mo.; four sisters, Barbara Deppe of Jefferson City, Mo., Linda (Anthony) Schaffer of Henley, Mo., Carol (Danny) Fitzpatrick of Wardsville, Mo. and Debbie (Gary) Steelman of Holts Summit, Mo.; and her granddaughter, Xena Shoults. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017, in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Longview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mary Ann Shoults Memorial Fund.
