Rosemary F Ward

Mrs. Rosemary F. Ward, age 91 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Friday, September 16, 2016, at the Oak Tree Villa Nursing Center. Rosemary was born February 8, 1925 in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of William F. and Florence Flessa Kuehn. She was married on March 22, 1952 in Springfield, Mo. to Fred Ward, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1980. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Rosemary graduated from St. Peter High School. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and with the Missouri Division of Surplus Property from 1973 until her retirement in 1990. Rosemary was a member of St. Peter Church. She enjoyed dancing, marathon bridge, bowling, traveling, and playing cards. Survivors include: three sons, Dan Ward and his wife Rhonda of West Plains, Mo., Mike Ward of Willow Springs, Mo., and Terry Ward of Pomona, Mo.; four grandchildren, Betsy Coatney, Andy Ward and his wife Cassie, Jeff Ward and his wife Teresa, and Heather Simonds; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Kenneth Ward; and three sisters, Catherine Hirschvogel, Germaine Mahaffey, and Angeline Renick. Committal services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Mausoleum of Resurrection Cemetery. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
