Frances Louise Buckley, age 72 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Frances was born on November 10, 1943, in Mandan, North Dakota, a daughter of Edward and Lorene (Nelson) Buckley. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Frances graduated from Jefferson City High School. She was employed by the State of Missouri as the Director of Accounting Systems for the Department of Economic Development until her retirement. She worked part-time at Jefferson City High School with the A+ Program. Frances was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God and always enjoyed the friends she met through church. Even though Frances never had children, she always loved spoiling any children in her life, especially her nieces and nephews, the youth at church or by volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She truly had a caring heart and many family and friends referred to her as "Aunt Frances." She also enjoyed quilting and collecting Raggedy Ann Dolls. Survivors include: one sister, Barbara Criswell of Kansas City, Mo.; two aunts, Nina Rieks and Marie Jordan, both of St. Louis, Mo.; sister-in-law, Laurie Mills of Jefferson City, Mo. and Beverly Buckley of St. Martins, Mo.; two nephews, Russell Criswell and Bruce Buckley (wife Laura); three nieces, Kimberly Viet (husband Mike), Cindy Criswell, and Heather Buckley; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lawrence Buckley and Tom Buckley. A private memorial service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Calvary Assembly of God, 704 Rock Hill Road, Jefferson City, Mo. 65109. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary. www.freemanmortuary.com
