Blanche Marian Steele

Blanche Marian Steele, 98, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, with her family by her side. She was born in Almira, Wash., to the late George and Hannah Wynhoff. Blanche attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a witty, sharp woman who loved conversation. Blanche enjoyed spending time with her family whether she was going dancing with her husband, going on cruises with her daughters, or spending time with the grandkids. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel L. Steele of Jefferson City, Lynden R. Steele (Arden) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Margaret F. Blankenship of Chesapeake, Virginia, Danton G. Steele II (Jill) of Casselberry, Florida and Mary Lee Williams of Chesapeake, Virginia; sister, Faye Burton of Quincy, Washington; brother-in-law, Larry Carter of Hickory, North Carolina; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Danton G. Steele and five siblings. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Guy Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
