Helen Mae Boswell

Helen Mae Boswell, 83, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born May 23, 1932, in Fayette, Mo., the daughter of the late Farrell and Nellie R. (Funk) Twaddle. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph Central High School in St. Joseph, Mo. and went on to attend Northwest State Teachers College in Maryville, Mo. On September 1, 1974, Helen was united in marriage in Fayette, Mo., to Herman C. Boswell, who survives at their home. Helen was a homemaker. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City. She loved her family and friends and also had a special place in her heart for animals. Helen is also survived by: two daughters, Carol Krieger (husband Harold) of Jefferson City, Mo. and Janet Duncan (wife Shannon Miller) of Corona, Calif.; one step-son, Ben Boswell (wife Susan) of Highland, Calif.; and one step-daughter, Paula Boswell (wife Donna Herrick) of Brighton, Colo. Helen was preceded in death by her parents. Friends and Family will be received from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. Scott Lakin officiating.
