Iona Mae Dixon Viessman, 90, of Holts Summit, received her angel wings on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born on December 26, 1925, in Montgomery County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Ervin W. and Tena M. (Autenrieth) Zeugin. She was married to the late Herbert Dixon, who passed in January 1983, and Eugene Viessman, who passed in October 2003. She was a graduate of Francis Howell High School. She worked as a machine operator at McGraw Edison, Shopsmith, and retired from Unilever. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, past president of V.F.W. Ladies' Auxilliary Post #1003, American Legion Post #5, and the Royal Neighbors of America. She also volunteered with SERVE and at Heisinger Bluffs. She is survived by her children, Sharon Sue (Wayne) Johnson of Jefferson City, Delores Hughes of Jefferson City, Charlotte (Dan) Sartain of Centertown, John (Kelly) Viessman of Vienna, son of Eugene Viessman; five grandchildren, Mitch (Jami) Wagers, Angela (Wes) Daiprai, step-granddaughter, Kathy Lowry, Travis (Mitzi) Sartain and Thad (Ashley) Sartain; six great-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Wagers; sons-in-law, Mike Wagers and Fred Hughes; her brother, Donald Zeugin; and two sisters, Evelyn Zeugin and Vanita Boffa. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Clayton Peak and Rev. Jim Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Tebbetts. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church or Hospice Compassus.
