Eileen Wittenberger

Eileen Wittenberger, 85, of Jamestown, passed away at California Care Center on Friday, June 17, 2016. She was born on September 19, 1930, north of California, the daughter of William Winkler and Ardalie (Kiso) Winkler who preceded her in death. She was married on August, 28, 1949, in California, Mo. to Gail Wittenberger, who preceded her in death October 5, 2011. Survivors include: one son David Wittenberger and wife Linda of California Mo.; one sister, Clara Inglish and husband David of California Mo.; one brother, Robert Winkler and wife Dwena of California Mo. and sister-in-law, Fern Winkler of Platte City, Mo. She was preceded in death by one brother Walter Winkler. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery, gardening, fishing, picking up walnuts, loved watching Missouri Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, and attending Moniteau Advent Church with her husband and son. Eileen was a graduate of California High School in 1948, she worked for California Manufacturing from which she retired after many years. She also helped her husband on the farm and helped with Project Share and the Food Bank. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Peter Kurowski officiating. Burial will be at Moniteau Advent Cemetery, Jamestown Mo. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Radio Ministry or Moniteau Advent Cemetery c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St. California, MO 65018.
