Kevin McDonald Healey

Mr. Kevin McDonald Healey, 59, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center. Kevin was born December 19, 1956, a son of the late Daniel J. and Susan McDonald Healey. He was united in marriage on January 6, 1979 to Sheila Boss at St. Peters Catholic Church in Jefferson City. He was a 1975 graduate of Helias Catholic High School. Kevin attended Broadcasting School in Clayton, Missouri, and shortly after made a career from it. He was employed as a radio personality for many years with KTXY-Y107 and KZMO known as Midnight Rider and Kevin Calhoun. Kevin loved music, helping people, and he treasured the time spent with his family. He was recently in 2011 ordained as a Minister, and performed the marriage ceremony of his daughter and son in-law. He at that time had the nickname Rev. Kev. Kevin is survived by two children: Joy (Shurone) Newsome of Jefferson City and Sean Healey of Warrensburg; six grandchildren: Dayza, Jerry, Deandre, Trinity, Anthony, Lanaia; siblings: Tom Healey, Danny Healey, and Andy Healey. He was preceded in death by one grandson: La-Rone; and two siblings: Mick Healey and Stephani Rose. A Celebration of Kevins life will be 11 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will directly follow in the Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Kevin in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of TYLER M.
