Sharon Sue (Collins) Hofmann, 71, passed away July 2, 2016, at Primrose Retirement Communities in Jefferson City surrounded by her loving family members. She was born October 14, 1944 in Jefferson City to Jack D. Collins and Billie Sue (Sanders) Collins, both deceased. Sharon grew up in Jefferson City and attended local schools, graduating from Jefferson City High School in 1962. She attended Sunday school, church and baptized at the First Baptist Church. She married Vic "Ozzie" Hofmann in 1962 in Jefferson City and the couple moved and settled in the Kansas City area. They were blessed with the birth of two daughters, Debbie Sue (Jeffery) Dean, Raymore, Mo. and Vici Ann (Gregg) Van Meter, Kingsville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Dustin Jeffery Dean, Grandview, Danielle Sue Dean, Raymore, and Hannah Sue Sharp, Kingsville. Sharon was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Holidays were a special time and she loved cooking, decorating and hosting parties throughout the year and especially during the Christmas season. Upon retirement, they moved to the Lake Ozark-Osage Beach area, and she spent some time working in a real estate office in Camdenton. The couple loved to travel and visited many places and enjoyed taking cruises with her cousins, Bill and Nancy DeAtley. She always longed to return to her birthplace, and several years after her husband's death in 2007, she did move back to Jefferson City and resided there until her death. In addition to her husband, parents and grandparents, she was also preceded in death by her caring and devoted stepfather, Fred C. Williams. Survivors include: her children, grandchildren, two brothers, Sam K. (Jody) Williams and Terry F. Williams of Jefferson City; nephew, David Hofmann of Centertown; three nieces, Leslie Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Kelly Williams of St. Louis, Kristi Libbert of Centertown; aunts, Joyce Abernathy and Marjean Sievert of Jefferson City; many "special" cousins; and her faithful companion, "Winnie" the cat. Private services will be held at a later date with interment in the Mausoleum at Riverview Cemetery, Jefferson City. Memorial contributions may be made to Callaway Hills Animal Shelter, New Bloomfield, or a charity of the donor's choice.
