Clorah June Wiegers, age 88 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Oak Tree Villa Rehabilitation Center. June was born July 4, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Ewell H. and Clorah Pearl Cooper Dake. She was married on September 13, 1947, in Linn, Mo. to Weldon Wiegers who preceded her in death on June 22, 2015. A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, June was a 1946 graduate of Belle High School, Belle, Mo. and a 1971 graduate of Lincoln University. A teacher for most of her life, she retired after 11 years as an Educator with the Missouri Dept. of Corrections in 1998. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and of Women on Wednesday (WOW). June enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, and traveling. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her beloved cat "BeBe". Survivors include: four daughters, Bonnie Henson and husband Sam of Lake St. Louis, Camilla Wiegers of Jefferson City, Jill Distler and husband Don of Jefferson City, and Judy Karr of Jefferson City; one sister, Ewella Margaret Camp and husband Danny of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Becky Heutel and husband Kerry, Samantha Kelly and husband Mike, Chrissy Peters and husband Brad, Julie Carroll and husband Adam, Josh Distler and his friend Whitni, Geoff Karr and wife Lauren, Lucas Karr and wife Tori, and Jenna Karr and her fiancé, Jeremy; nine great-grandchildren, Kayel Heutel, Sophie Peters, Adalyn Peters, Brayden Carroll, Colton Carroll, Kennedy Karr, Beckett Karr, Grayson Karr, and Dawson Distler and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law, Gary Karr; two granddaughters, Kassie Rae Karr and Katlyn Renae Karr and two brothers, Charles Dake and Ewell "Bud" Dake. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2016, and at Memorial Baptist Church from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Memorial Baptist Church with the Pastor Mark Towns officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Countryside Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Owensville, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Memorial Baptist Church and or the Christian Prison Ministry of Missouri.
