Patsy Ann Ortmeyer

Patsy "Patty" Ann Ortmeyer, 63, of Kansas City, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at Olathe Hospice House. She was born March 24, 1953, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of the late Wilbur Raymond and Estavia (Sampson) Ridenhour. On July 10, 1971, she was united in marriage to John Ortmeyer in Jefferson City. He survives in Jefferson City. Patty was a graduate of Jefferson City Public High School and Rolla Technical Institute. She worked at Charles E. Still Hospital, Capitol Advertising and the Elks Lodge #513. She enjoyed crafts and flower arranging. She had a very outgoing personality and could make a friend anywhere. She is survived by three sons: Christopher Ortmeyer (Janice) of Merriam, Kan., Jeffrey Ortmeyer (Tracy) of Parkville and Curtis Ortmeyer (Melanie) of Lake St. Louis; two sisters: Betty Faye Scott (John) of Evansville, Ind. and Teresa Kever (Gary) of Holts Summit; grandchildren: Mason, Addison, Elayna, Preston, Logan, Amelia, and Stella. Patty was preceded in death by her parents. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
