Elaine Melba Rambo, age 95 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing. "Rambo" as all friends and family called her, was born on January 28, 1921 in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Homer Wade and Goldia Esther (Jones) Allen. She graduated from high school in Chicago, Ill. and moved to central Mo. shortly after her schooling. A homemaker for the majority of her life, Rambo always cherished time with her family. When her children were younger, she was a Scout Leader and volunteered with their church, Harper's Chapel Methodist Church, in Osage Beach, Mo. She was a strong woman of faith and became an ordained minister to help with her main passion, prison ministry. Rambo didn't know a stranger and was always willing to help family and friends. She had a great sense of humor with a kind heart which was proven when she was awarded "Ms. Villa Marie" during the last few years. She enjoyed collecting dolls, writing poems, and singing. Her love of the arts led her to become "Ozark Annie" on Ozark Opry in Lake Ozark Mo. which she enjoyed for many years. Survivors include: one daughter, Netti Percival of Lebanon, Mo.; one son, Cleve Rambo of Lake Ozark, Mo.; four grandchildren, Michael Percival (wife Kim) of Springfield, Mo., Susan Wood (husband Victor) of Lebanon, Mo., Kristen Rambo Spencer (husband Brian) of Sedalia, Mo. and Kimberly Rambo Elliston of Crocker, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany Percival, Cassie Wood, Jacob Percival, Tori Wood, Amber Percival, Sarah Schiller, Dakota Papen, Kaylee Papen and Haley Rambo; and two great-great-grandchildren, Benjamin Percival and Layla Lyon, and another one expected in October 2016, Lane Michael Lyon. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Allen Rambo and Jamie Rambo; a son-in-law, Kenneth Percival; a daughter-in-law, Linda Rambo; and one grandson, David Rambo. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, Mo.
