Tammy "Tambo" Parsons, 56, of Jefferson City, departed this life on Friday, August 26, 2016, so as to gain a front row seat to watch the Cubs win the World Series this year. He was born November 12, 1959, in Mendota, Illinois, a son of the late Carlos and Jacque (Moses) Parsons. He graduated from Mendota Township High School in Mendota, Illinois. Tammy owned and operated High Street Pub in Jefferson City for the last 20 years. Tambo made many friends and was a fixture in the downtown Jefferson City area. He was a devoted Cubbies fan his entire life. Tammy is survived by his four brothers: Carl Parsons of Jefferson City, Barry Parsons (Susan) of Jefferson City, Pat Parsons (In-Hui) of Auburn, Alabama, and Doug Parsons of Jefferson City; one sister: Colleen Fletcher (Terry) of Fulton; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his High Street Pub family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Peggy Krahenbuhl, and one brother: Terry Parsons. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at High Street Pub, 209 E. High Street in Jefferson City. He would welcome all of his friends to toast one in his honor. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
