Lillie Mae Bluett

Lillie Mae Bluett, 38, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016, under the attentive care of SSM Health St. Marys Hospital. She was born April 14, 1978, in St. Louis, Mo., before relocating to Jefferson City at a young age. Lillie was a 1997 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Upon graduating from Jefferson City High School, she went to work at Capitol Projects where she worked for 18 years. Lillie was a kindhearted woman who lived a life of service. When not working at Capitol Projects, Lillie could oftentimes be found at one of her favorite pastimes. She frequently enjoyed attending Friday Night Recreation; she loved the fellowship, to dance and hear the live bands play her favorite tunes. Lillie also went on many trips hosted by the Cole County Residential Services. Ultimately, Lillie looked forward to attending the annual Night to Shine prom affair which is hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation. She loved to put on her favorite red dress and have a good a time with her friends. In addition to her loving mother, Ida Mae Bluett of St. Louis, Mo., Lillie is survived by two brothers, Emanuel Bluett of Jefferson City, Mo. and Henry Bluett of St. Louis, Mo.; and four sisters, LaRue Bluett of Jefferson City, Mo., Veronica Bluett of Hendersonville, Tenn., Christine Bluett of St. Louis, Mo. and Margaret Bluett of St. Louis, Mo. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, with Fr. Charles Pardee officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City, Mo. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Capitol Projects, Inc.
