Carol Lynn Richardson, 71, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed from this life Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center. Carol was born March 26, 1945, in Tipton, Missouri to the late George Henry and Jennie Lovella Richardson. Carol attended Harrison Public School in Tipton. She was a proud member of the Bible Way Community Church in Jefferson City. Carol lived her childhood and biggest part of her life in Tipton before moving to Jefferson City. Carol enjoyed her life to its fullest. She was always surrounded by her family. She didn't know a stranger, and would strike up a conversation with whomever or whatever crossed her path. Her greatest joy was spending time with all of her grand and great-grandchildren as well as the family dog, "Taco". Carol also enjoyed reading and fishing. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jennie Richardson; one son: Michael DeWayne Richardson; four sisters: Linda Kaye Richardson, Dolly Lovella Richardson, Rose Marie Williams, and Elizabeth Ann Hollingshed; one brother: George Washington Richardson. She leaves to cherish memories to three daughters: Wilma (Joe) Jones, of Jefferson City, Sandra (Robert) Richardson, of Jefferson City, Debbie (Artsimo) Richardson of Columbia; one sister: Estella Williams of Jefferson City, eight grandchildren: Jennifer McKaye, Alfred Richardson, Michael Richardson, Cassandra Richardson, Christopher Ross, Jonathan Richardson, Shawna Richardson, and Andre Richardson; 22 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016, at the Bible Way Community Church in Jefferson City with Elder Shawnacy Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow services in the Longview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family.
