Dorothea Louise Scott

Dorothea Louise Scott, age 93, Columbia, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born April 2, 1921, in Jefferson City to Henry Stieferman and Dora Gerber. She was united in marriage to Howard E. Scott, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and her pets. Dorothea is survived by two sons: Kenneth Lee Scott (Sue) of Jefferson City and James C. Scott (Mary) of Columbia; one nephew: Larry Turner; five grandchilden and nine great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother: James Carl Stieferman, and one sister: Lorraine Stieferman. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Shane Crum. Interment will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
