Kathy Gayle (Smith) Blackwell

Kathy Gayle (Smith) Blackwell, age 59 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. Kathy was born on April 25, 1954, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Galen L. and Kathleen Smith. She was a graduate of Wichita West High School in Wichita, Kan. and served in the United States Navy for two years. A resident of Jefferson City since 1974, Kathy was employed at Jefferson City Manor Care Center. Survivors include: her parents, Galen and Kathleen Smith of Jefferson City, Mo. and one brother, Galen W. Smith of Jefferson City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her son, Cameron L. Hall, on October 23, 1994. Her earthly struggles have ended and she is with The Lord. In accordance with her wishes there will be a private family service.
