Doris L. Summers

Doris L. Summers, 84, of Higginsville, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born to the late Andrew C. Humburg and Louise Humburg. She was united in marriage to William J. Summers in February of 1948 in Higginsville, Mo., where they resided until September of 2004 when they moved to Holts Summit, Mo. Survivors include her sons, Mike (Judy) Summers of Greentop Mo., and Kevin (Carolyn) Summers of Holts Summit, Mo.; daughters, Mary (Russell) Hoeflicker of Hollister, Mo., and Teresa (Robert) Jenkins of Holts Summit, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Higginsville, Mo., with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held in the Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo., at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be suggested to St. Marys Church, Higginsville, Mo. Arrangements are under the direction of Kaiser-Weigers-Funeral Home, Higginsville, Mo.
