Glenn Eugene Pabst, 82, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Fulton Presbyterian Manor. He was born March 5, 1931, in Hannibal, Mo., the son of the late George W. Pabst and the late Ruby P. (Taylor) Pabst. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Maxine (Still) Pabst on November 28, 1954. She survives at their home. Glenn graduated from Hannibal High School and went on to receive an Associate's Degree from Hannibal LaGrange College. Glenn proudly served his country for 40 years as a Military Policeman in the Army National Guard. Following his retirement, Glenn and Dorothy wintered in South Padre Island, Texas. He was a sports fan and supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri Tigers. He enjoyed fishing, his train sets and country music. The times most special to him were those spent with his family. Glenn was a former member of the Fulton Kiwanis Club and had served as President. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Those remaining to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy; sons, Michael Pabst of Los Angeles, Calif., Larry (Kathy) Pabst of Jefferson City, and Daniel (Kimberly) Pabst of Fulton; daughter, Linda Jones of Fulton; brothers, Gerald T. (Derene) Pabst of Chandler, Texas, and Leroy W. (Mary) Pabst of Bellflower, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Pabst, Mariah Jones, Marissa Jones, and Walker Pabst; and great-grandchildren, Noah Shores and Olivia Pabst. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John W. Pabst; and sister, Georgia Mae Pabst. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September, 28, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulton with Reverend David L. Mueller officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery in Hannibal. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Glenn's name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas, Fulton, Mo. 65251.
