Michael H. Dalton III

Michael H. Dalton III, age 63, of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013. He was born June 7, 1950, in St. Louis, to Michael and Gloria Dalton. Mike, a veteran of the U.S. Army, served in Vietnam from May 1969 to October 1970. He spent 20 years in the telephone industry, 24 years in the title insurance business, and owner of Monarch Title Company. He was a 20+ year member of the Ashland Optimist Club and of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Maureen; children, Jon Dalton and his wife Meagan, Amanda Ferreiro and her husband Dan, Jeffrey Ward of Ashland, Julie Haden and her husband Todd of Columbia, Michael H. Dalton IV and Daniel G. Dalton of Wentzville; siblings, Mary Reichman, Christopher Dalton, Mazie Dalton, Ann McLellan and her husband Bryan, Edward Dalton and his wife Monica, Theresa Mines and her husband Greg, and Joseph Dalton and his wife Jane; six grandchildren, Jesika, Olivia, Logan, Abby, Nolan, and Isabella. His father and mother preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 26, at 10 a.m. at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hartsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Dalton Grandchildren College Fund, c/o Boone County National Bank in Ashland.
