Stanley "Stan" Perovich, age 70, of Lohman, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home. He was born November 23, 1942, in St. Louis, the son of Peter and Mary Kostich Perovich. His father was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan, naming his only child after the great Stan "The Man" Musial. On September 29, 1994, Stan was united in marriage to Judy Drewry, who survives at their home. Stan was a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis, with a degree in Business Administration. He was voted the "Top Financial Student" of his graduating class. He also served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He was employed as the Director of General Services at Six Flags in St. Louis for 13 years. He retired in 2001 as Director of General Services with the State of Missouri Office of Administration. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City and the Gideons. In addition to his wife of 18 years, he is survived by four children, Tami Lane (Bill Spratly) of Afton; Kelly West (Bryan) of New Bloomfield; Shane Drewry (Christi) of Altus, Oklahoma and Jacki Morrow (Kevin) of Russellville; 10 grandchildren, Timothy John, Tara Jacob, Taylor, Blake, Heather, Brittney, Matt, Tanner and Trenton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 25, at the Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City with Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Interment, with military funeral honors, will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m until service time at the church on Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gideons or the charity of the donor's choice.
