Wilmer Loren Gaddy

Wilmer Loren "Bill" Gaddy, 68, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1945, in the State of Calif., the son of the late Wilmer Earl and Evon (Bowles) Gaddy. After the death of his mother, Wilmer and his siblings were raised in the home of their grandmother, the late Edith Vanarsdall. On July 23, 1994, he was united in marriage to Ina (Blochberger) Gaddy, who survives at their home. Wilmer was a private contractor, spending most of his time building and renovating homes. He was a member of the Honey Creek Lion's Club. He enjoyed fishing and golfing in his spare time. Along with his wife Ina, he is survived by one daughter: Angela Swainson of Staten Island, N.Y.; one son: Christopher Gaddy of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister: Cheryl Putthoff and husband Philip of Peculiar, Mo.; two grandsons: Dakota and Kaya Swainson; one granddaughter: Zoe Swainson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother: Lloyd E. Gaddy; and his sister: Diane L. Lowe. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013, with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will be private for the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of donorís choice.
